Where quality matters”

The Central Europe Dance Theatre will open its doors again on a seasonal basis. Our aim is to see how wide a range of young talents we can attract and give them the opportunity to develop. 

Central Europe Dance Theatre and company are offering a free, open workshop for professional dancers from 1 to 5 October. The workshop will be hosted by the renowned Akram Khan dance artist and co-choreographer of the company, Andrej Petrovic who is renowned for his overwhelming physicality, sometimes esoteric, dance-sensitive and sensitive creative workshop work, and as a teacher, he places great emphasis on interpretation and creation. 

The workshop is open to dancers and dance artists who are pursuing higher education or have a higher education degree, who will participate in the five-day course together with the KET company. Due to the limited number of participants, please send your interest to info@cedt.hu by sending an e-mail with a CV, and the selected dancers will be notified in advance on the contact details provided.
The workshop will take place from 1 to 5 October, every day between 10 am and 1 pm at the SÍN Cultural Centre.

Born in 1982 in Bojnice, Slovakia, Andrej Petrovic studied at the Dance Conservatory in Banska Bystrica before graduating from the Študio Tanca Professional Dance Theatre / Zuzana Hájková joined the company.
In the course of his work he has visited places such as the Editta Braun Company In Salzburg, in the Brussels Fatou Traore or Giorgio Barberio Corsetti and Fatore Kappa physical theatre in Rome, the Jean Abreu Dance Company in London, and Yaroslav Vinarsky-in Prague.
In 2007 it joined the Akram Khan Company-where, as a dancer and rehearsal director, he was BahokConfluenceVertical Road c. This period of more than ten years not only developed his technique, but was also a breeding ground for his creativity. It gave her the opportunity to use her personal development to share her ideas with Akram Khan, making her a dancer and co-creator of the opening of the London 2012 Olympic Games or the company's iTMOi as well as his award-winning reimagining for the English National Ballet Giselle become a choreographer's assistant.

Based on his experiences, Andrej Petrovic started his own creative work and collaborated with the following bands, building and developing his style: London/Sadlers Wells Theatre, a Slovak National Theatre, a Kecskemét City Ballet and the National Youth Dance Company.

a solo performance created in 2016, the L/One of the Seven is based on one of the seven deadly sins, especially lust. The speaker, Martina Hajdyla Lacova from the Czech Thalia Awards in Prague for his performance in the production.
Currently the Viliam Dočolomanky/Farm in the Cave International Theatre Studio-and his professionalism shines through in all his work.

A workshop, training on V4 young dance talents which provides young dancers with possible solutions to performing arts and human problems, from the basics to the creation of a finished dance production, enabling them to build a production that meets European contemporary standards on their own or to join a professional company.
