As the resident company of the Bethlen Téri Theatre, the SŐT7 festival is hosted by the Central European Dance Theatre. In the first years, the week-long dance festival, organised around the name of Queen Elisabeth (popularly known as Sissi), the namesake of Budapest's 7th district (Erzsébetváros), focused on top-class performances of Hungarian contemporary dance, and for years on the Budapest debuts of rural dance companies. The 2024 concept, while not forgetting what has gone before, focuses on two important themes: the Bethlen's core mission of nurturing talent, and the increasingly important international relations.
