The 2024/2025 season kicks off with 40 programmes in more than 10 venues over almost 10 days!
INPUT FESTIVAL will take place for the first time between 13 and 22 September, showcasing innovative inclusive spaces founded by a professional association almost a year ago in five districts of the capital.
Last season the INPUT company has done a lot of professional work in the background. The September festival was born out of INPUT's debut to the public and the absence of the regular season-opening festival held on Andrássy Avenue in the early 2000s. The venues prepare a programme specific to their operation and profile. As the programmes have been put together, call words that are equally important to all the institutions have become visible, and discussions will be held on those themes. These include education, the presence of technology in the performing arts, sustainable, green operations, women's destinies and energies, and community/participatory theatre. The festival will be diverse in terms of genre and participants, ranging from prose plays to contemporary dance and movement arts to new circus, and from artists and art school students to community theatre.
The aim of the festival is also to show the cultural vibrancy of a district through its places, as these are the base institutions and places that can give a city its cultural identity, so it was also important to focus on a particular district on each day.
